Click on the picture to the left to so that you can read the audacious findings from the IBD/TIPP poll. While it's no surprise that 85 % of Liberals back Obama, of interest is that 62% of people who don't display the flag back Sen. Obama, while among those who do display the flag only 38% choose Obama.

It is one poll out of many and the closest of them all - in fact the only one that is close. Is it accurate? Perhaps, but it would have its own uncertainty and bias. It does not include recent developments in Palin's ongoing efforts to smear all Democrats and unpatriotic. It also does not include recent revelations about the regular Hockey Mom's exploits in buying $150,000 worth of elitist high fashion while Republican contributors foot the bill.
I suspect that you will wish to treat this poll result as factual and informative, especially given your very high standards for evidence and proof, especially evidence that supports your point.
People who regularly use statistics and attempt to avoid misusing or abusing them will often try to look at all of the estimates together, on the hope that their overall pattern may be indicative of the underlying state of affairs that they are trying to estimate. If you do that, the only legitimate conclusion from the most recent polling is that it will not be a good election day for the Republicans and especially for McCain and Palin.
Even so, I have no doubt whatever that you will drive on past any obstacles of reality (or appropriate statistics) to arrive at the conclusions you wish or those you read about in your regular "sources".
The betting sites are treating the election as a near landslide, and that is with people actually putting their money down.
Oh, anon, there you go again accusing me of lying with statistics! I already told you that I don't do that. If you've been off reading the polls why are you even worrying?
Who knows which one is accurate, and does it even matter?
