Blagojevich Changes Mind: Will Appear at Impeachment

Down in Springfield, it's just been announced that Governor Blagojevich, who has "failed to appear" at his impeachment by not showing up or sending a lawyer, has now requested permission to file his appearance for the limited purpose of making a closing argument. It sounds as if this request will be granted. Governor Blagojevich's Impeachment may end--maybe tomorrow--on a very interesting note, in contract to the technical (and very boring) past few days.
