I really think this was a lame pick on Time's part.
Ah, copy editor, I love being a person of the year, full knowing it's as close as I will ever get!

It should have been Putin though.
But, I'm glad you enjoy it.
i think Putin is on a bad path, Copy Editor, but maybe you should name him as person of the year and blog on that. I know it would be expremely interesting to read your reasoning.
TIME does not always, at least in the past, pick positive figures (Stalin, Hitler and Khomenei (sp?)) have all been POTY. My points would center on his control of Russian politics, media, resources and entanglements in neighboring countries. I will try and write something next week.
