HR 1: Obama's Economic Stimulus and the Superbowl

When I heard some of the great lines in this new video from the blog at the Cato Institute, I knew you would love it. With the Super Bowl coming up, you might as well be ready with a few quick quips on the on the $825 billion Obama stimulus plan. Imagine dazzling the crowd with lines like "Some of the tax cuts are really new spending being laundered through the tax code," or "What's next, a special program to get rid of dandelions in my lawn?" or "If government spending was the key to growth, North Korea would be an economic Nirvana." But why stop there? Print out a couple of the 647 pages of the 111th Congress' H.R. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and commit them to memory to make you the real life of the party. A quick recitation is bound to make an evening that no one will soon forget!
