Eleventh Day of Christmas

I am sorry to see Christmas slipping away. The extra time for leisure, the  visits with friends and family, and the special celebrations make it a very special time. Pretty soon I'll take down the cards, and by and by the tree. We still have two more months of winter but the days are growing longer every day.

For the eleventh day of Christmas I chose this three kings alterpiece by Hans Baldung who lived and worked in Strasbourg much of his life and was considered the most gifted student of Albrecht Dürer. You can click on the picture to see a larger version.

The Backyard Conservative has a post on how Sen. Roland Burris (D-IL, maybe) heard Abraham Lincoln talking to him in Springfield just a few years ago which you might find interesting.
