Kissing America Goodbye: Star Chamber Congress Treats People With Contempt

"In modern usage, legal or administrative bodies with strict, arbitrary rulings and secretive proceedings are sometimes called, metaphorically or poetically, star chambers. This is a pejorative term and intended to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the proceedings." -Star Chamber Wikipedia

Passing heath care legislation has become its own disease in Washington, D.C. In its quest to force its will upon and destroy the American People and our county, Congress and the White House have become crazed. Do not keep the Sabbath. Do the bidding of the Sovereign. Treat the People with contempt. Meet at times inconvenient to members. Isn't government behavior such as this why your family left the old country in the first place?

"As the U.S. Supreme Court described it, 'the Star Chamber has, for centuries, symbolized disregard of basic individual rights.' " -Star Chamber Wikipedia

John Kass' column in Friday's Tribune did a nice job of summing up the pain of proposed health care legislation on the average citizen, but a bit of an issue on how abortion will be handled remains. Labeling anything that can be done by a medical professional to a human being as "health care," is evil in itself; to pass a bill hated by the People on a Sunday--when work should cease--is one more argument why this Congress must be retired.
